Hi, my name is Abram, and I live on Lincoln Street. But it wasn't always that way. I've lived a lot of places in my short life. I lived on Dartmouth Street, which sounds painful. I lived on Park Street, which sounds much more fun, and I even lived in the Woods for a little bit. There were a lot of squirrels there.
But I had to move. I moved to Lincoln Street. My daddy got a new job, my mommy had a new baby, we packed up all my stuff, and we moved. All of my trains, all of my books, and all of my animals got packed into boxes and put into a big, white trailer. Even my bed got packed up. I don't know how they fit it all in, because I have a lot of stuff. This made me sad, because I really like my stuff. Nana came and she is now living with us, which is a lot of fun. Nana is good at building train tracks.
We drove in the car for a long time. A really long time. I slept most of the way. My baby brother slept, too, and he cried. We stopped at a park, and a gas station, and a donut shop. Mommy doesn't like donuts, but I like donuts. Daddy built me a train set for the car, but it broke. We finally got to our new home on Lincoln Street, and it was still dark. I wanted to sleep more, but my neck hurt and I was ready to be out of my car seat.
I walked into the place mommy and daddy were calling "home", but I didn't see any of my stuff. I didn't see any trains, or animals, or anything! This wasn't my home. So, I decided I would just go live in the car. Daddy came out to play with me in the car, and we had egg sandwiches. But I wasn't going to go back inside.
Pretty soon, a white trailer pulled up. My stuff!! Some people came and helped us unload all the boxes and even my bed. My trains were here. Mommy and daddy and baby brother are here. This is my new home. This is Abram on Lincoln.
